On December 6, 2017 within the program of Young Pedagogues’ Union ,,Civic Engagement for Positive Changes” there was held a meeting in public school of Shroma with teachers, parents and schoolchildren of school and kindergarten. Organization representatives discussed issues of leadership, safe school concept and participation rights of children. Participants were provided with the information about participation and opportunity to impact on educational processes, developing collaborative culture, principles of democratic school, which can be achieved with involvement of teachers, parents and students. Planned activities will be implemented time to time.

Topic of the leadership school lesson on the 6th of December was „Violence“. The first part of the lesson started with a discussion about what violence means. There were analyzed the different types of violence: personal, structural and cultural violence. The second part of the lesson was practical, the pupils had to read four different short stories about violence in different situations. In groups they discussed the best way to deal with the situation and presented it to the others. In a discussion afterwards we talked about how to deal with different types of violence in everyday life. The aim of the lesson was to show how diverse violence can be and to show different ways to cope with it.
