On May 16, 2018, within youth program of Young Pedagogues’ Union,there was held a public lecture ,,Literature in modern society” by poet Rati Amaglobeli. He talked about meaning of literature in the process of formation of modern human being, how to ,,take away” modern technologies from human and return book to them, what the human would look alike without aesthetic viewpoint. At the lecture the audience had a chance to get involved in a discussion about the following issues: an idea of freedom and patriotism in Georgian literature, the role of education and literacy in gaining freedom, importance of Georgian literature in communication with people. It is worth to state that youth themselves make decision who to meet during public lecture. The event was held within Bread for the World and the program PITA which is implemented by UNAG with financial support of USAID. Partner of the program is Young Pedagogues’ Union.
