Leadership school students of “Young Pedagogues’ Union” and students of Ozurgeti Art School participated in wall painting action in the center of the town: sport school wall situated in V. Dolidze Street, Ozurgeti.

The action was conducted within the project “Fight Against Stigma and Discrimination Accompanied With Psychical Problems”. The goal of the project is to pay society’s attention to condition of people who have psychical problems and society’s attitude toward these people in Georgia. .

“Every person is free and equal with their rights and dignity” _ that main thesis of human rights is often abrogated in society by social isolation and discrimination of persons with psychical problems. This people have right to live respectfully and they have enough skills for that, if society sets adequate relationship toward them. People with psychical problems are usual people as we are. As we, they as well have the same rights and freedom. In a case if society supports them, it is possible for them to be threatened and live in ordinary way; they can be useful for all of us. But stigma and discrimination abrogates their rights, hardens process to receive on time necessary support. Exactly because of stigma existed in society, the person with psychical problems do not apply for help, which hardens much more their problem and health condition. Its make poorest our society, its welfare. So, share of each of us is very important, moreover, there are not persons insured from psychical problems. .

The goal of the action is to make us once again rethought the problem and shows us that it’s time to change attitude and receive different from us people as they are! .
