Yesterday, on the 17th of May the leadership school and the german volunteers Katja and Jule celebrated the World Health Day together. First part of the event was a little presentationabout health and current discussions about it in Georgia, for example about the new tobacco and cigarettes law. Nevertheless, the focus of the event was on healthy food and some physical activity. The children were working in groups together trying to create a healthy food pyramid to learn which food is healthy and should be eaten a lot and which food isn’t. The second part of the event was very practical as the children did some little warm up and stretching before thinking about some little physical exercises they presented to each other. The goal of the event was to show how to eat and drink healthy and what physical activity can make fun and support health at the same time.
