Celebrated literacy day

On September 20, 2019, members of the Youth Center of the "Young Pedagogues' Union" celebrated literacy day at the literary cafe "Eight +1".
Within the framework of the activity, there was a discussion of literary works where the members of the centre talked about books that changed their world vision and attitudes to different aspects of life.
The goal of the activity is to make young people more literate, to share their knowledge with others, and to love reading books.
Young people selected books to discuss and aroused a great deal of interest in their peers. Particularly interesting were Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis", Guram Dochanashvili's "The First Garment", Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "The Gambler" and Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy". Each of them has been reviewed in both literary and historical aspects.
The meeting was organized through the program PITA which is implemented by UNAG with the financial support of USAID. Young Pedagogues’ Union serves as a partner to the program.
