International Volunteer Day
December 5, 2019 celebrated the International Volunteer Day at the Young Pedagogues' Union.
German volunteers of the organization “Bread for the World” have provided adults of the Leadership School and Youth Center with information about volunteer services.
The process was interactive and the teens had the opportunity to work in groups on the following issues:
• aspects of volunteer work and interest;
• the importance of specific volunteer programs;
• Obstacles and barriers during volunteering process;
• discussing successful examples;
• Matching interests and opportunities;
Discussion focused on the impact of volunteering on the community and directly on volunteering.
