Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

On November 25, 2020, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was celebrated at the initiative of the members of the Youth Center of the Young Pedagogues Union.
Young people have found gender stereotypes prevalent in society, which are often the cause of violence. Stereotypical phrases were printed and the campaign #breakingthestereotype was launched.
. The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on December 17, 1999, declaring November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The activity is organized within the framework of the "Tolerance, Civic Awareness and Integration Support Program" [PITA], implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
