Activity always brings results!

The Dump near Nasakirali Public School has been cleared.
The Youth Center of the Young Pedagogues' Union initiated an advocacy campaign for the abolition of a dump near the public school of Nasakirali for a year.
Members of the Center held public meetings and actions within the campaign. In order to promote the topic, two social videos were prepared, met with parents, representatives of local self-government, and Ozurgeti municipality service centre officials.
Cleaning the dump space without special equipment was unbelievable as the trash had been in the area for more than 10 years and endangered both the environment and humans.
As a result of youth activism, bunkers were placed in the school area and finally the area was cleared. Thanks to the staff of Ozurgeti Municipality Service Center and representatives of the Nasakirali Community Youth Center.

The meeting was organized through the program PITA which is implemented by UNAG with the financial support of USAID. Young Pedagogues’ Union serves as a partner to the program.
