International Volunteer Day
On December 5, 2020, members of the Young Pedagogues Union Leaders School and Youth Center organized a remote tea party for the elderly at the Anaseuli Home for the Elderly on International Volunteer Day.
According to the regulations related to Covid 19, meeting in the physical space is temporarily limited, however, young people have found a way out through digital platforms. Pre-prepared sweets were sent to the elderly and at the end of the day, they shared experiences related to traditions and dishes. Also, the rules of celebrating the New Year in different parts of Georgia were discussed.
Similar types of volunteering activities help to deepen intergenerational communication, increase social responsibility among young people and improve the psycho-emotional state of the elderly.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the project "For a Better Future", the donor organization "Bread for the World".
