On November 11, 2017 there was held a meeting of Regional Parliament. At the seminar, there was a discussion about functions of students, as well as the issue, how to prepare pre-election programs.
On November 10, 2017, within Civic Activism program, leaders of Youth Center with cooperation of Charity Association Guria members, there was planned an event. The event aimed to discuss the problems connected with persons with disabilities. Youth discussed an issue of stereotypical attitudes and prejudices. The necessity of positive changes were reflected with drawings and slogans: ,,The sun shines for everyone!” ,,Education is everyone’s right!” ,,Accept different!”. The event was implemented within ,,Promoting Integration, Tolerance and Awareness’’ program (PITA) which is implemented by UNAG, financial support USAID. Partner organization of the project Young Pedagogues’ Union.
On November 10, 2017 at Laituri public school there was held a meeting with teachers of schools and kindergarten. Representatives of Young Pedagogues’ Union held a seminar about ,,Leadership”, ,,Conception of Safe School”. Within the program ,,Civic Engagement for Positive Changes” for making teachers more actively involved, Young Pedagogues’ Union will continue holding training and seminars.
Within EU-funded program -” Strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to provide social services in the political dialogue with the contribution of Georgia and Ukraine “, Young Pedagogues’ Union is implementing the project ,,Provision of welfare of elderly people and people with disabilities under care system of the state’’. The aim of the project is to create delimiting document of social worker and service provider organization functions in the process of providing of 24 hour services to people with disabilities and elderly people’’. In order to reach the project goal, there was chosen an expert, as well as, there was created working group, which units representatives from 24 hour services of elderly people and people with disabilities (community organizations, boarding houses), Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs of Georgia, Social Service Agency, State Fund for Protection And Assistance of (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking. On November 10, 2017 at the office of Young Pedagogues’ Union in Tbilisi, there was held first meeting of the working group, where the participants discussed the challenges, which service providers meet regarding answering the needs of their beneficiaries.
On November 7, 2017 in Laituri public school there was held a meeting of the parents of the students of school and kindergarten. Representatives of Young Pedagogues’ Union held a seminar about ,,Leadership’’ and ,,Conception of Safe Schools’’. Within the program of ,,Civic Engagement for Positive Changes’’ Young Pedagogues’ Union will continue holding training-seminars for making parents who live in Laituri community more actively involved.
On November 4, 2017 there was held a discussion of Convention on the Rights of the Child with youth living in Khajalia. Youth people discussed different rights which were violated, as well, how students’ self-government should react in case rights of the child were violated. They discussed how to overcome violation of rights of children in our country.
First meeting was held in Khajalia community. Representatives of Young Pedagogues’ Union held a seminar for parents about leadership, safe school and kindergarten concept.
Within the program ,,Civic Engagement for Positive Changes” Young Pedagogues’ Union will actively continue training-seminar courses for parents active engagement.
