Within the program of Young Pedagogues’ Union ,,Civic Engagement for Positive Changes” there was established parents group for leadership in village Nasakirali.
The program aims to create safe environment at public school and kindergarten with participation of parents.
On October 31, 2017 first seminar was hold about the following topic: ,,Leadership” and ,,Conception of Safe School and Kindergarten”. The seminar was held by representatives of Young Pedagogues’ Union, Marina Topuria and Mzia Mekhuzla. 26 person attended the event. Educational sessions with parents will be held in every month.

For the carers of the elderly house under administration of Young Pedagogues’ Union there was held a training: ,,Characteristics of elderly care and rehabilitation”. The following training was held within the Health and Social Care program of Caritas Georgia ,,Development of Home Care in Georgia”. The aim of the training is to retrain personnel and raise their professional qualification.
The project is implemented by financial support of Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and Caritas Germany. The training was held by project coordinator Maia Mikadze, project physiotherapist Neli Vartanovi.

On November 1, 2017, by the initiative of Young Pedagogues’ Union, at the cafe ,,Rvas+1” there was held a meeting of the parents of interactive theatre of Leaders’ School.
The aim of the meeting was to plan community activities and to encourage implementation of the activities.

On October 29, 2017 interactive theater group of Leaders’ School of Young Pedagogues’ Union participated in the ninth theater festival of Children and Youth named after Machabela, in Tbilisi.
At the festival there was performed a play ,,Is life delightful?” Created by director of theatrical group, Tatuli Mgeladze.
Each member of the theatrical group were rewarded (Elisabed Lomineishvili, Mariam Chkhatarashvili, Giorgi Tsertsvadze, Mariam Chkuaseli). Judges rewarded the younger participant Tika Qutidze.

Nino Qutidze, parent was rewarded with diploma for participating in the play.

On October 28, 2017 at the office of Young Pedagogues’ Union there was held the first meeting of 2017-18 Youth Parliament.

19 schools of Guria region registered as members of the Parliament.

At the meeting youth people were provided with the information about parliament structure and specificity. There were discussed working topics and the problems which reflect pupils’ participation rights in schools’ activities. Also there was discussed the structure of parliament in details.

On October, according to the UN calendar, there is celebrated International day for the eradication of poverty. Youth Center members of Ozurgeti held discussion at the café ,,Rvas+1’’ about causes of poverty and possible ways to solve the problem.

At the meeting, participants had the possibility to get to know to the brochure ,,Stories’’ prepared by Nini Shavishvili. Characters of the stories written by Nini experience the same problem: poverty. The author read some stories from the brochure for the attendants.

Youth people who attended the event remembered different stories regarding people who live in poverty. They discussed the difficulties of economically vulnerable families and the consequence of their condition, violated rights of the children who live under poverty, stereotypical attitudes towards them as well as facts of violence against them. Young people stated that it is important that every citizen has an awareness of their own social responsibility and care about empowering families which have economical problems. These actions will help our country to overcome poverty.
